Bern
Switzerland's federal capital is an understated gem, with its 6km of arcaded sandstone walkways (Lauben), medieval clock tower, bear parks and panoramic views of the snow-capped Bernese Alps from the Rose Garden. The well-preserved old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.

The most popular open air bathing spot in Bern. As with all other public baths in the town of Bern, the Marzilibad is completely free. The separate “Paradiesli” and “Männerbad” areas allow men and women to sunbathe unclothed.

Not far from the vibrant hustle and bustle of the city of Bern you’ll find the Sense-Schwarzwasser nature reserve. Here, large glacial meltwater rivers have dug impressive gorges into the molasse rock.
